Current Rolled Alloys Applications
Rolled Alloys RA330 plate is fabricated into furnaces for processing perlite
Rolled Alloys RA 353 MA plate fabricated into a saturation tank for burning hazardous waste
Rolled Alloys RA718 sheet sold to west coast stamping company for automotive turbo parts
Rolled Alloys 1/2" Plate RA330 Used in Cyclone Discharge Tubes for a U.S. Cement Plant Application
Rolled Alloys RA2205 Pipe used in a U. S. Petroleum Company Heat Exchanger in an Offshore Oil Platform
Rolled Alloys AL6XN Sheet and Rectangular Tubing used in New Design of Wet Electrostatic Precipitator
Rolled Alloys RA330 plate is fabricated into furnaces for processing perlite
Over 13,600 pounds of RA330® plate and weld rod was purchased recently by a Midwest fabricator. The plate will be used to make perlite expansion furnaces. Perlite is used as fertilizer for house plants and home gardens, it is also used as insulation in buildings as shown in the picture.
Rolled Alloys RA 353 MA plate fabricated into a saturation tank for burning hazardous waste
Rolled Alloys recently shipped 2,400 pounds of RA 353 MA plate and weld wire to a fabricator located in the southwestern part of the United States. This material will be used to fabricate a saturation tank that will burn hazardous waste materials. RA 353 MA was chosen for this application because of its high temperature resistance.
Rolled Alloys RA718 sheet sold to west coast stamping company for automotive turbo parts
Rolled Alloys supplied over 9,500 pounds of RA718 sheet material to a west coast stamping house. The light gauge RA718 sheet was stamped into parts that go into turbo chargers for the automotive industry.
Rolled Alloys Plate RA330 Used in Cyclone Discharge Tubes for a U.S. Cement Plant Application
Rolled Alloys RA330 plate inch thick was used to fabricate cyclone discharge tubes that were used in an application for a U.S. cement plant. RA330 material was selected due to its high temperature resistance to the hot gases that are collected in the cyclone discharge tubes. In a cyclone the particles are collected at the bottom and then only the hot gases are collected up the cyclone discharge tube.
Rolled Alloys RA2205 Pipe used in a U. S. Petroleum Company Heat Exchanger in an Offshore Oil Platform
Rolled Alloys RA2205 pipe will be used in a heat exchanger for use in an offshore oil platform for a U.S. Petroleum Company. RA2205 grade was chosen over generic 304/L and 316/L because of its resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and high strength.
Rolled Alloys AL6XN Sheet and Rectangular Tubing used in New Design of Wet Electrostatic Precipitator
Rolled Alloys AL6XN material was selected for a new design of a wet electrostatic precipitator (WESP) for a coal fired power plant in Canada.
AL6XN 16 gauge sheet cut into many different dimensions along with rectangular tubing (box beams) were used in this application. The sheets will be hung from the box beams. The purpose for the box beams is to hold the sheets in place. Both the box beams and the sheets were specified to be AL-6XN because of its superior corrosion resistance. The sheets serve as a filtering system. The sheets are charged and the particulates are attracted to them so they do not enter the atmosphere.
