7075

7075 aluminum is a heat-treatable Zinc alloy commonly used for structural parts subject to high stresses.  7075 offers one of the highest strengths available from an aluminum alloy. Fabricated parts offer dimensional stability as well as fair resistance to corrosion.  Further performance characteristics include high hardness, excellent surface quality, and good response to anodization.

Rolled Alloys stocks wrought 7075 aluminum in the T651 condition.  Extruded bar receives cold work, solution heat treatment (915°F) and stretching (nominal 2%) before artificially aging (250°F).  Cold finishing of bar imparts exceptional dimensional uniformity and internal properties.
