Rolled Alloys paper presented at EPRI Conference in Orlando

On June 23, Devin Wachowiak gave a presentation at the EPRI Conference in Orlando, FL on the successes of AL-6XN and ZERON 100 in pollution control, more specifically for applications within Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) units.  Over the past several years, material costs have increased due to rising nickel prices. More and more people turned to 2205 duplex stainless steel for their FGD units due to it's lower cost than other higher corrosion resistant grades such as ZERON 100, AL-6XN and expecially C-276.  AL-6XN and ZERON 100 offer corrosion resistance superior to 2205 duplex without having to pay the high cost of C-276 and both grades have been very successful in many FGD applications for over 20 years!
