Flatbed Required

Overview

Large plate, long bar, or oversized pallets may require a flatbed for safe loading/unloading and compliant securement.

How It Works

Rolled Alloys or your freight provider determines the trailer type based on overall length, weight, and loading conditions (dock access, crane/fork capacity). FMCSA cargo‑securement standards apply.

Steps:

  1. Share exact lengths, bundle counts, and site unloading capabilities.
  2. Request flatbed service during quoting if needed.
  3. Confirm receiving equipment (forks/rigging/crew) is ready on arrival.

Helpful Tips

Long bar or plate often rides better on flatbeds to reduce handling damage.

If your site lacks a dock, flatbed plus appropriate unloading equipment can speed delivery and reduce risk.
