Business Development Specialist

TOLEDO, OH

Purpose: As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for several key functions related to business development and technical support. A primary aspect of your role will be engaging with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and end-users. You will educate these stakeholders about the specialty alloys and technical services we offer while also building relationships that enhance market insights and business development opportunities. Additionally, you will be encouraged to become active in technical associations and attend trade shows.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify niche applications and markets that currently demand or may require specialty stainless steels, nickel alloys, and titanium alloys.
  • Proactively make face-to-face calls on EPCs, OEMs, and end-users in various industries to promote proprietary specialty alloys and technical services.
  • Assist outside sales representatives by accompanying them on client visits.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen partnerships and discover opportunities to expand product usage.
  • Present new products and Rolled Alloys markets to engineers and influencers (EPCs and end customers).
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
  • Participate in technical associations and represent the company within industry groups and events.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities and understand how they impact
    the company.
  • Up to 50% travel can be expected.

Qualities We Seek:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
  • Over 5 years of experience in customer-facing technical sales.
  • Strong knowledge of stainless steels, nickel alloys, and titanium is highly desired.
  • Experience in developing relationships with EPCs, OEMs, and end users.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities to build lasting customer relationships.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills, capable of prioritizing and planning independently.
  • Self-motivated and professional, demonstrating a strong sense of personal responsibility and commitment to business growth.
  • Positive and personable attitude, thriving in a team environment.
  • Proficient in remote communication through email, phone calls, and virtual meetings.
  • Committed to continuous learning and eager to further develop in the field.

Account Representative

Houston, TX

Purpose: You will be responsible for servicing accounts while building customer relationships by supporting the sales team.  This may involve communication through our E-Commerce platform, phone calls, chat system, and email.

Responsibilities

  • Direct communication with our customers- Quoting and chatting with customers and communicating market information.
  • Customer Service- Timely responses to customer requests, order status updates.
  • Creating relationships with customers and other departments within Rolled Alloys- Credit, Inside Sales, Field Sales, Account Managers, Product Management, Scheduling, Metallurgical Services, Operations, and Quality Assurance teams.
  • The ability to communicate effectively through multiple platforms- Via email, through the website, and phone calls.
  • Efficiency with computers and relevant programs.
  • Being able to stay organized and flexible in stressful situations.
